Hardings Beach is one of the best in Chatham. There are two parking lots with plenty of parking(there is a charge, $15/day good at all Chatham beaches). Here there are wide clean sandy beaches that enjoy the warm water of the Nantucket Sound. This is a great spot for a picnic lunch or to fly a kite. There is also plenty of room for a game of frizbee or football. This is a great beach to take a walk along the waters edge. You will be able to pick up alot of shells and other things for your bucket. If you walk all the way to the tip to the enterace of Stage Harbor you will get an up close look at a beautiful old lighthouse. As you look out on the water you will see fishing boats and pleasure and sail boats as well. Great place to bring your Sun Fish or Sail Fish. There is an onsite bathroom with outside shower. The ice cream truck comes by every hour or so and there is a snack truck that stays at the first beach lot most of the day. No dogs allowed April through Oct. Don't miss a visit to this classic Cape Cod beach.
