Lake Michigan/North Bar, Michigan

The is by far my favorite beach. It is an extremely family friendly beach. The parking is a little distance away and you need to pay a fee of $3 to go to this beach. the fee is good for a whole week. This is really two beaches in one. You can play in North Bar Lake and if you are more daring, you can play in Lake Michigan. If you have little kids, they can play in the little stream that runs between the two lake. The beach is sandy and shallow for quite a distance. There is no life guard on duty. This is not an all sports lake.

There are restaurants, shops, ice cream parlors and coffee spots near by. You will also be near the many beaches that Northern Michigan has to offer.
