Echo Lake Beach is a wonderful "hometown" swimming area just a short distance from the center of the Town of Warrensburg. A clean, fine sand beach is supplemented with men's and women's changing rooms and restrooms. Formerly known as Bond's Pond thanks to its first settler dating to 1784, Echo Lake covers 35-acres and is spring-fed. Owned and operated by the Town of Warrensburg, admission to the beach is free and there is a lifeguard on duty seven days a week during the summer. There is a large parking lot and picnic facilities. Much of the lake, located in the Adirondack Mountain foothills, is surrounded by tall pines. The lake is shared with Camp Echo Lake, a children's camp of some reknown, which has its own bathing area at the far end.
