The Outer Banks of North Carolina are a series of islands that extend out beyond the mainland. Of these many beaches, Nags Head is my favorite. The beaches are wide and the waves are rough. A narrow strip of land runs the length of the islands, with the sound on the west and the Atlantic on the right. It is here that the Wright Brothers made that historic First Flight. Stay at Big Mill Bed & Breakfast inland in Williamston and and drive to Nags Head for a graet getaway. While here you can visit the many lighthouses including Hatteras.
